- Creative Garnishing: Top this drink with a lemon peel, or sprinkle a few drops of Angostura bitters on the foam at the top of the drink.
- Measure Ingredients: Use a jigger to measure ingredients accurately for consistent flavor.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, you can use different types of whiskey such as rye, Scotch, or Irish whiskey for a variation in flavor. Rye will add a spicier note, Scotch introduces a smokier profile, and Irish whiskey offers a smoother, milder flavor.
Adjust the sweetness by adding a small amount of simple syrup, maple syrup, or increasing the orange juice.
Yes, you can substitute bourbon with rum or vodka. Rum will add a sweeter, sometimes spiced flavor, enhancing the cocktail’s tropical character. Vodka, being more neutral, will allow the ginger’s flavors, citrus, and infused gin to be more prominent.
Absolutely, for a non-alcoholic mocktail, simply leave out the bourbon and gin. Mix together the citrus juices and replace the ginger beer with non-alcoholic ginger beer or ginger soda for a refreshing alternative.
A highball glass is recommended for the Thai Bourbon and Ginger Cocktail as its design is perfect for highball cocktails, which typically have a higher ratio of non-alcoholic mixer to spirit. Its tall and narrow shape helps preserve the carbonation and chilled temperature of the drink.

Any drink with an umbrella in it, gets my attention and I am not kidding. Now having said that, it would be difficult to have the umbrella and have the drink in a sippy cup. I love the title of the drink and I love the drink. I am working on developing my palate for bourbon drinks. I know. I know. It’s difficult, but I am persistent. Ha!
